Summer in Ellsworth

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

It seems summer has finally come here after having a good old nor’easter just a week or two back, although that itself is unusual for April. Actually, come to think of it, this warm weather is unusual as well: we don’t get this kind of weather until mid to late May. The grass is still yellow and short, the trees have not yet begun to bud, there is still half melted snow in shaded spots, but it hit 75F today.

Wonder why I’m blogging about the big blue room? outside.in is this website that tracks blogs who blog about real places, and seems to actually have quite a few interesting blogs (well, interesting if you live in those places anyways). What I noticed, however, there are no local blogs, which leads me to believe my initial theories about Maine are correct: Maine lives 10 years in the past.
