I’ve been watching the saga of Nate Kushner vs Laura K. Pahl, a plagiarist who goes to Lewis University (and was even on the Dean’s List) that attempted to hire Nate to write a college paper for her. The initial post is here, and follow up posts are here, here, here, here, here, and here. (He has changed her name to Laura K. Krishna and the name of the college to India Community College for legal reasons.)
So, Nate turned around and posted the whole thing on the Internet, and eventually both the Dean’s Office and her mother found out about it. The moral of the story is: If you try to hire someone to write a college paper, make sure they aren’t part of a sketch comedy group and have a blog with a decent readership.
Now, you may already know, but I hate GTK and Gnome, and everything those projects stand for. However, there are a few things I hate more; such as Windows and porting software to Windows. Porting software to Windows is a punishment I would not wish even on my worst enemies. Tor Lillqvist has managed to make libbonobo work on Windows. Congratulations.
This pink mecha to the left is called the Dulicse and it makes me want to make a Lacus Clyne related joke. No, really. It was scratch built, and the guy who built it has built several others.
Daniel Berlin has given me a WiFi card for my laptop. Go buy him beer.
